Okanagan Athletics star and West Kelowna native Morgan Lofstrom was selected in the recent Major League Baseball Draft in the 20th round by the Cincinnati Reds.

Prior to the draft Lofstrom has been practicing with the Canadian national junior team in preparation for the 18U Baseball World Championships in Taiwan in August.

Currently hitting .205 with the Athletics in just 14 games, with eight hits, three doubles, a triple, a homerun and 11 RBIs.
