The Just Play Ball program is a Grassroots initiative developed and run by The Dugout Club since 2015 in Richmond, BC. All genders are encouraged to participate in its various programs offered throughout the year. Whether you currently play baseball or not, whether you belong to this association or that, come on out and “JUST PLAY BALL”. It’s exciting and a whole field of FUN if we all make it that way!
With that, Baseball BC and The Dugout Club are thrilled to announce the continuation of the program to help both participants that are new to the game - who want to find out what they’ve been missing - as well as those more experienced who want to further their learning to THROW, PITCH AND HIT beyond what has been available during the Spring Seasons of baseball. (The next set of 6 sessions will begin September 3rd to October 8th - See below for registration...)
Parent helpers and youth baseball coaches are encouraged to participate. Help not only your child’s growth and development of the game for now & years to come but also facilitate many others you will engage and mentor. ALL Coaches are strongly encouraged to work through the NCCP pathway towards being a Trained Coach and ultimately Certified. Equipment: Participants are encouraged to have their own, especially a helmet. However, if just wanting to “try out” the game before purchasing, The Dugout Club is able to help with gloves, bats, & even some helmets if need be... If so, please register & then email info@thedugoutclub.ca
When: Wednesday Evenings from September 3rd to October 8th. Note: participation is open & available for any or all remaining sessions, so, register at any time until Oct. 8th...
Who: Everyone 6-12 years (DOB 2019-2013) and Girls up to & including 14 yrs (to 2011)
Times: Session depends on age of participant (Birth years & times below)
- Session 1 - 6 to 8 yrs olds - 5 P.M. to 6:30 P.M. (Born 2019, 2018, 2017)
- Session 2 - 9 to 12 yrs old (Girls to 14 yrs) - 6:30 P.M. to 8 P.M. (Born 2016 to 2013, & Girls up to 2011)
Where: Brighouse Park Field, Richmond B.C.
