Taylor Green - World Basball Classic 2013

February 26, 2013

This March, Taylor Green will have a different “Canucks” team to cheer for as a member of Team Canada at the World Baseball Classic.

An avid Vancouver Canucks fan, Green will be one of the players that will need to get on base to generate runs for Team Canada.  Last season with the Milwaukee Brewers, Green would hit just .184 in 58 games and 103 at bats with seven doubles.

In 2011 the Comox native was named the Brewers Minor League Player of the Year after hitting .336 with 22 homeruns and 91 RBIs.

He made his MLB debut in 2011 in a game against the St. Louis Cardinals on August 31, where he would come off the bench and record a pinch hit in his first plate appearance.

Green will suit up for Baseball Canada for the first time.
