Girls Day in Baseball

The Toronto Blue Jays Baseball Academy will be holding "Girls Days," in partnership with Baseball Canada this summer.

The three-hour instructional clinic will be held in Vancouver on Friday June 28, 2013. The Clinics are open to girls ages 6 to 16, and will focus on baseball fundamentals such as; throwing, batting, fielding and baserunning.

The Blue Jays Baseball Academy will partner with members of the Canadian National Women's Team as well as Blue Jays alumni players to act as instructors. The registration fee is $43 and participants will be given a Blue Jays T-shirt, hat and baseball manual.

Clinics cost $43 per participant (plus GST)  Participants must be between the ages of 6 and 16 to participate.  Participants should arrive in appropriate workout attire, running shoes and bring a baseball glove, bat, helmet, snacks and a drink. Space is limited.

What is LTAD?

Long Term Athlete Development (LTAD) is a systemic approach developed and adopted by Baseball Canada to maximize a participant's potential and involvement in our sport. The LTAD framework aims to define optimal training, competition and recovery throughout an athlete's career. Enabling everyone to reach their full potential in the game of baseball and as an athlete.
