Bill Hyde passing

May 31, 2013

The Baseball community lost a long time contributor this past Monday.

Bill Hyde not only coached, but realized that coaches in the province needed support in order to develop better players and better citizens.   He and a group of others embarked on the creation of the Baseball Coaches of British Columbia.  Bill believed that every child deserved the best opportunity and the feeling that they were cared about.  He was always willing to give of his time, to any coach or player regardless of what association they were a part of.

His family wants to thank all of those who have offered their support and condolences.  In lieu of flowers the family has requested a donation be made to any local chapter of Kid Sport.  Kid Sport is a non-profit organization that raises money to pay for kids fees to play sports, they also collect and distribute donated equipment to families in need.
