Best of the West in Kamloops

April 2, 2014

The “Best of the West” Showcase tournament date is set to begin on Thursday in Kamloops.

Once again Marty Lehn of Big League Experience will run this tournament in conjunction with Thompson Rivers University and coach Ray Chadwick on the beautiful grounds of McArthur Island (pictured).

This Showcase tournament is considered to be one of the best pre draft tournaments in the country for scouts to assess the West Coast talent prior to the MLB June amateur draft.  Last year’s tournament drew in 16 scouts from 12 different Major League clubs as well as college recruiters and coaches that represented 6 different colleges and our Canadian National Team head coach Greg Hamilton.

The 2013 edition saw the Langley Blaze once again prevail as champions with a victory over a very good Okotoks Dawgs club.  When we asked tournament co ordinator what he thought was the best game?  Without hesitation is was the Dawgs come from behind wins over a very well coached and talented Vauxhall Academy in the semi Final game.  Vauxhall will be back this year with something to be said in 2014.  This year edition will also include the “Best of the West” fall qualifier Co-Champions Victoria Mariners and North Shore Twins.  The rest of the slate will be filled by premier showcase  teams from BC and Alberta.

The only thing left to figure out for the 2014 showcase tournament is, “Can the Langley Blaze 5peat or is 2014 going to see a changing in the guard?

ManDay Grooming

Manday Grooming was started by us (Evan Ward and Shon Noda) out of our mutual need for better hair products great hair products that kept up with our lifestyle. We wanted products that worked better than anything we had tried, using as may natural ingredients as possible. After 1.5 years of research, development, refining our craft, and going to a few markets we decided to share our great products with the world.

What started as 2 guys making pomades in a kitchen condo in 2016 has slowly turned into so much more.

When we got serious and turned Manday into a company we wanted to make sure we did things different and better than anything else on the market. We chose to base our company and products on these principles:
