2012 TEAM BC MIDGET “SELECTS” Final Roster released

After months of observations, events, conversations and “hand wringing” at this weekend’s Midget AAA Provincials, the TEAM BC roster has been set for the Midget Nationals in Quebec City from Aug.16th – 20th. You can follow the action at http://www.baseball.ca/midget on the Baseball Canada website.       

While selections were finalized last night, it was decided that no “Alternates’ would be named at this time.(Should any players find themselves unable to attend, we'll reach out once again as to player availability depending on positions required to be filled.)

"Thank You" to all those parents and players that showed interest in the 2012 Midget Select program to this point (and for those 2013 / 2014 graduates, we hope you continue to do so in coming years.)

Without your input and assistance at events, not to mention your patience and understanding as we worked through the selection process right up to the final hour of the Provincials yesterday, we’re not here at the point we are in meeting the challenges that lay ahead for this group.

Also, we’ve said it many times before, but I'll say it again, "Without the Midget AAA Coach’s input, help and cooperation, this program doesn't get done in the manner that it deserves to on behalf of ALL the players that participate in Midget AAA Baseball.".

We'll now move on and do our best in fulfilling our original promise when applying for the program - "To compete at every level possible when engaging the other Provinces, yet making this trip "As memorable as possible for all the right reasons for each and every one of the players chosen”.

In closing - and this is harder to do than running the entire selection process - but I'd like to congratulate Bill Robinson and the Vancouver Mounties on their 2012 MIDGET AAA Championship!!!.....Good on you, Bill (and your coaching staff), for all your hard work and efforts over the years not only for your team, but for your association and the BCMBA Midget AAA Div. in particular.
