2017 UBC Baseball Recruit Showcase

The University of British Columbia Baseball Program will be hosting a recruitment showcase this Fall in Vancouver the weekend of October 14-15. The event is designed to introduce players to an elite level baseball showcase with Canada’s best university program. The event will allow for the UBC coaching staff to evaluate players for potential recruitment. This will be a great chance for players’ in your area to be evaluated in their pursuit of a post-secondary baseball opportunity.

All of the evaluations will be held indoors this year due to the construction of the baseball field.

ITINERARY

10am – 12pm: arrive at Rose Indoor Baseball Training Centre for campus tour
12pm – 1pm: Lunch (provided)
1pm – 4pm – Showcase Evaluation

  • Run/Stretch
  • 10 yard/40 yard times
  • Vertical jump
  • Throw
  • Inf/OF/Catcher fielding evaluation
  • BP
  • Live at bats/bullpens
  • Q and A

What is LTAD?

Long Term Athlete Development (LTAD) is a systemic approach being developed and adopted by Baseball Canada to maximize a participant's potential and involvement in our sport. The LTAD framework aims to define optimal training, competition and recovery throughout an athlete's career to enable him / her to reach his / her full potential in baseball and as an athlete.
