Hastings Community Little League to represent BC at Canadian Little League Championships

The Hastings Community Little League (Age 11-12) All-Star team defeated White Rock by a score of 20 to 0 on Saturday, July 28th to win the 2012 BC Provincial Little League Championship tournament played in Trail, BC. The Hastings team (roster below) will now represent British Columbia in the Little League Canadian Championship tournament to be played in Edmonton, Alberta from August 4 to 11, 2012. The winner of that tournament will represent Canada in the Little League World Series to be played in Williamsport, Pennsylvania from August 16 to 26, 2012.

Hastings had a record of 6 wins and 1 loss in the BC Provincial tournament while scoring 100 runs and allowing 14 runs against in 7 games played. Hastings Community Little League also won the Little League Canadian Championship in 2009 and represented Canada at the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania in that year. A team from British Columbia has represented Canada at the Little League World Series for seven straight years from 2005 to 2011.

About Hastings Community Little League

Hastings Community Little League has operated since 1953 providing volunteer driven baseball programs for boys and girls aged 5 to 12. Operating under the umbrella of Little League International, Hastings holds the Little League charter for the geographic area that covers parts of East Vancouver and North Burnaby, British Columbia. Our league includes 5 age divisions with 40 teams for regular season league play, and 3 All-Star teams that compete for various championship levels at a district, provincial, national and international level.
