The British Columbia Amateur Baseball Association (Baseball BC) is committed to the responsible resumption of baseball activities based on the direction of the Provincial Health Officer, viaSport and the Association’s abilities to provide adequate supports, services and supplies in the current environment.  Before resuming baseball activities that require volunteers &/or staff to return to fields, Baseball BC-approved practice specific safety plans are applied.  We will protect the health and wellbeing of players, coaches, volunteers & staff through COVID-19 prevention measures, daily screening, and mandatory in-depth training for all authorities.

Baseball BC’s Summer Camps will provide a fun and safe atmosphere to learn and play the game of baseball.  Qualified coaches will instruction the fundamentals and basic skills of baseball all while being friends & mentors, teaching important life skills and leaving the everyone glowing with confidence.

All our instructors are current or former players &/or coaches that have experience at the youth, collegiate and national level(s).  They are dedicated to passing on their knowledge and skills to every player.  There is a focus on development through small group work and individual skills, including practice and game situations that rely on the use of teamwork as well as one-on-one instruction.  With each skill taught, there will be a fun game applied to that skill, so baseball becomes easier to play.

Each camp will focus on all areas of the game including hitting, pitching, fielding, and base running.  An emphasis will be put on the specific mechanics that each skill required so every player, beginner or advanced will gain knowledge to better their performance in baseball.  This is a great opportunity for all players to improve their baseball skills in a fun environment.

As part of Baseball Canada’s Long-Term Athlete Development program, we are not only focused supplying knowledgeable skills training, but are focused on the FUNdamentals.   What this means is while building the skills children need to be active, they are also learning how to play fair, and within the rules of the game.  In other words, participation in a fun and active environment with focus on fair-play, ethics and the rules of game will help them develop skills used throughout a lifetime.

If you have a anyone interested in baseball who is 6 to 12 yrs. of age (girls 6-14), please register online at www.baseball.bc.ca/summercamps
