Free Indigenous Provincial Identification Baseball Camp

Baseball BC and ISPARC are proud to announce a free Indigenous Provincial ID Camp taking place on Sunday, September 21st from 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM at Hammond Field, Maple Ridge [20601 Westfield Ave, Maple Ridge, BC V2X 1V9].

The camp is open to 14U players born in 2011, 2012, & 2013 (girls can be born in 2010) who identify as Indigenous – First Nations, Métis, or Inuit.

This camp provides young athletes the opportunity to showcase their skills while strengthening their baseball development as well as connections between sport and culture.

Player Commitment:

  • Attend this free Provincial ID Camp Sept. 21st in Maple Ridge 
  • Selected players will be expected to represent the team at the BLE Tournament in Kamloops this October 11-13th (Player cost: $240 plus accommodations, transportation, & meals)
  • A team of 2011 & 2012 (girls 2010-2012) born players will also compete in the 2026 BC Summer Games in Kelowna (Player cost: $300 – all other costs paid by the BC Games Society)

Required Player Equipment:

  • Glove
  • Wood bat
  • Helmet
  • Cleats/spikes
  • Baseball pants with belt
  • Hat
  • Catcher’s gear (for catchers only)

 

This event represents an important step in creating inclusive opportunities for Indigenous athletes in baseball across British Columbia.
