Coach Training - Female Baseball "Girls at Bat"

Jays Care Foundation, in partnership with Plan International Canada, is excited to host a two day Girls At Bat “Hitting it out of the Park” training for Baseball BC coaches.


Girls At Bat trainings are designed to equip coaches with the confidence to plan and lead inclusive programs that align with the Girls At Bat programmatic pillars of enhanced: connection, courage, leadership and love of sport in all athletes.The goal of this training is to increase strategies for engaging and retaining female athletes at the grassroots level of sport.


The training is dynamic, active and encourages participants to share their prior knowledge and experience to enhance the overall learning. There are many sessions built into the two part experience, among them: Engaging Girls in Sport: strategies to inspire girls to keep playing Promoting Positive Behaviour: proactive and reactive strategies for promoting positive behavior for all athletes on your team Parent Involvement: engaging parents and families into programming and tips for managing challenging parent behavior


In addition to the amazing learning opportunity, all participants will receive: An updated Girls At Bat program manual and coaching resources, a Girls At Bat coach shirt and a Jays Care ball cap


Day 1: Tuesday, April 16th - 6:00pm to 9:00pm

Day 2: Wednesday, April 17th - 6:00pm to 9:30pm
